Higher Grounds, one of Braselton's best coffee houses, recently announced that they are now offering Saturday brunch. Here's why we're so excited about it.

Higher Grounds has Great Coffee

Brunch is Good for the Soul

Breakfast marries the best parts of breakfast and lunch. On the one hand, you get to eat breakfast food and all the carbs, salt, and fat that implies. On the other hand, it's late enough in the day that you can meet up with your brunchmates without having to wake up super

September 2018 Food Drive

Won't you join us to be a Harvest Helper this September? We're partnered up again this year with the Georgia Mountain Food Bank to collect 1,000 pounds of much needed food during National Hunger Awareness Month. That's because Georgia ranks as the 7th most food insecure state in the country and with your help we hope to support people in need locally.

A little over 1 pound of food equals one meal. As a Harvest Helper you can drop off non-perishable food or cash. For every $1 donated, the Georgia Mountain Food Bank can provide about 5 meals.

Last year our goal was to gather 800 pounds of food and we were all blessed to come together and beat that goal. So from Tuesday, September 4th through Friday, September 14th, you can drop off food items from

Fun facts about Gwinnett County

Getting to know about the world around you, today's blog post focuses on interesting and little known facts about Metro Atlanta's Gwinnett County. Here you'll find a vast selection of activities, cultural experiences, educational events, and more, making it a wonderful place to live, work, and play.

Starting with a bit of history, Gwinnett County is home to Lawrenceville, which is the oldest city in Metro Atlanta having been founded in 1821. The city is named after Captain James Lawrence, who fought in the War of 1812. Lawrenceville also played a part in the Civil War as the Lawrenceville Manufacturing Company produced cotton-based goods for the Confederate Army. It was unfortunately burned down during the fighting and rebuilt later.

What's the story with real estate expert, Sam Gustafson? Sam comes to us from Texas, moving to Georgia a while back to be closer to his wife's family. As a doting family man, one of his favorite things about living in the Auburn/Dacula area is spending time at Mulberry Park. He says, "The park is awesome." If you haven't been yet, we definitely recommend it. There's so much to do and since it's such a sprawling park, you're not on top of other families.

Sam is also an avid traveler, roaming the world with his family. He's been to the Great Wall of China as well as Machu Picchu which he says, "Were both amazing." One of his favorite travel destinations is Italy. He recently had the opportunity to go this past November and says it was an amazing
